Grosvenor House Showcase – Target Integration

In a Nutshell…

Target Integration is an international business systems and digital transformation consultancy that has used Grosvenor House’s virtual office and workspace solutions since November 2016. In this interview, they share insights on managing tech implementation, the importance of listening before solving, and how having a professional address and business community in St. Paul’s Square has supported their long-term growth.

At Grosvenor House, we take immense pride in supporting the growth of ambitious companies across Birmingham, the UK, and beyond. In our latest Client Showcase, we sat down with Rphit Thakral, CEO and Founder of Target Integration a leading business systems and digital transformation consultancy that has been part of the Grosvenor House community since November 2016.

Target Integration helps organisations across manufacturing, distribution, services, and professional sectors streamline operations through platforms like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Odoo ERP/CRM systems. Here, they share their story, the challenges of digital transformation, and their decade-long relationship with Grosvenor House.

A Business Built on People, Process, and Pragmatism

Target Integration was founded on a simple, practical premise: growing businesses need systems that genuinely support how they operate. As Rohit explains:

“Target Integration is a business systems and digital transformation consultancy working with organisations across Ireland, the UK and internationally. We help companies improve how they work by implementing and supporting platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Odoo and other ERP and CRM systems. Our focus has always been practical: understanding a client’s processes first, then configuring technology so it genuinely supports the way their business operates.”

“We started with the idea that growing businesses need more than software licences or one-off technical fixes; they need a partner who can translate business challenges into reliable systems, clear processes and measurable outcomes. Over the years, Target Integration has grown into a team supporting sales, operations, finance, service delivery and development projects for clients in sectors including manufacturing, distribution, services and professional organisations.”

Navigating Growth, Technology, and Human Change

Implementing technology projects is about much more than software – it involves managing how people work on a daily basis.

“One of the biggest challenges has been helping clients manage change. Technology projects are rarely just about software; they affect people’s daily routines, reporting, accountability and decision-making. Getting everyone aligned, from leadership teams to users on the ground, takes patience, clear communication and a strong understanding of the business context.”

Rohit continued:

“Another challenge has been keeping pace with the rapid evolution of business technology. Platforms like Microsoft 365, Power Platform and ERP systems continue to develop quickly, so we have to keep learning while also ensuring that clients receive stable, well-supported solutions. Maintaining that balance between innovation and operational reliability is something we take very seriously.”

Words of Wisdom: Listen First, Build Second

When asked for the best piece of business advice he had been given, active listening and honesty came to the forefront of Rohit’s mind:

“The best advice I have been given is to listen properly before offering a solution. In our work, it is very easy to jump straight into features, systems or technical answers, but the real value comes from understanding the problem behind the request. When you take the time to understand the business process, the people involved and the desired outcome, the solution is usually much stronger.”

“I have also learned the importance of being clear and honest with clients. A good long-term relationship is built on trust, realistic expectations and consistent follow-through.”

Looking back, investing in structure early was another key takeaway for Target Integration to scale effectively:

“I would tell myself to invest even earlier in structure, documentation and repeatable processes. As a business grows, informal ways of working can only take you so far. Clear systems for sales, delivery, support, finance and internal communication make it much easier to scale without losing quality.”

“I would also remind myself to focus on team development as much as business development. Good people, clear ownership and shared standards are what allow a company to serve clients consistently.”

Behind the Scenes: Daily Routines & Essential Tech

Behind the consulting work is a day structured around clear priorities, team collaboration, and constant alignment across projects.

“My day usually starts by reviewing priorities, emails, meetings and client commitments. A lot of my work involves coordinating between clients, internal teams and partners, so I try to make sure the right people have the right information early in the day.”

“The rest of the day is normally a mix of client meetings, project reviews, sales and partnership discussions, operational follow-ups and internal planning. I spend time looking at proposals, contracts, delivery progress, support matters and business development opportunities.”

“I also try to keep time for thinking about the bigger picture: where clients need more support, where our internal processes can improve, and how we continue developing the business in a sustainable way.”

When it comes to essential tools, modern cloud software underpins their operations, though processes and people remain the true priority.

“Microsoft 365 is probably the one platform I could not do without. Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and the wider Microsoft ecosystem underpin a huge amount of communication, collaboration and document management for us and for many of our clients.”

“Beyond that, tools like SharePoint, Power Platform and Odoo are central to the type of work we do because they help turn business information into structured workflows, reporting and better decision-making.”

“The most important ‘kit’, however, is still a good process and a good team. Software only works well when it supports clear ownership and a shared understanding of how things should be done.”
