At Grosvenor House, we pride ourselves on being more than just a virtual office provider—we’re a partner in the success of the businesses we serve. Our clients come from a diverse range of industries, each with unique goals and challenges. This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on one such client: the Technology Supply Chain (TSC). We had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Richard Fallon, the founder and driving force behind TSC, to learn more about their incredible journey and how Grosvenor House supports their growth.
An Introduction to Technology Supply Chain
The Technology Supply Chain (TSC) was founded in 2019 and has quickly grown to become a vital membership organisation for technology, manufacturing, engineering, and life sciences companies across the West Midlands. Dr. Fallon shared the story of how TSC began:
“The Technology Supply Chain (TSC) was established in 2019. We’re a membership organisation for technology, manufacturing, engineering and technology companies, including life sciences and health tech firms. I was asked by my old PhD group, at Aston University, to connect them with West Midlands manufacturing, engineering and technology companies so they could provide them with fully funded innovation support. While doing this, I discovered there was plenty of support and grants available that businesses did not know about. So, we created the membership to connect businesses to the innovation and growth opportunities available to them and we now have over 4,500 members!”
TSC has also established the Innovation Awards to celebrate innovation in the region. Dr. Fallon elaborated: “Professor Paul Cadman and I established the Innovation Awards in 2021 to promote the amazing innovation work going on within the region and 2024 was the 4th sell-out year in a row!”
Getting to Know Dr. Fallon
Dr. Fallon is known for his vibrant personality. He told us:
“I am known for my laugh and my woo-hoos! People often remark; They hear me long before they see me! I also went to school with Sporty Spice and my Ph.D. work appeared on BBC’s Tomorrow’s World back in 1998.”
When asked about his goals, Dr. Fallon shared his vision for TSC: “Well, the vision is to create a golden age for manufacturing, engineering and technology companies within the West Midlands.”
Challenges and Advice
Like any business, TSC has faced its challenges. Dr. Fallon reflected: “You know, it’s whatever happens within the business, isn’t it? There’s nothing particularly outstanding that wouldn’t be different to any other business. That being said, it can be really hard to not be tainted with the same brush as other membership organisations when people first see/hear of you – the moment we’re pigeon-holed, the journey to helping others has another hurdle to address first – proving we’re different when someone else has already closed off their eyes and ears.”
He also shared the best piece of advice he’s received: “I suppose the best piece of advice is to think strategically and long term. But to bear in mind, without the short term there is no long term.”
A Day in the Life of Dr. Fallon
Dr. Fallon’s day is full of variety, and he shared a glimpse of what a typical day looks like:
“I love the variety. My day includes many things that could include meetings with partners or patrons, doing discovery meetings for members, onboarding new members, organising events, delivering workshops, delivering support for participants in the West Midlands Health Tech Innovation Accelerator as part of our partnership with them, organising the Innovation awards or just bringing everyone/everything together through success stories for our members, patrons, partners and contacts on social posts through our Linkedin page. If I’m lucky enough, I might get a lunch break!”
When asked about essential tools, he stated: “I can’t live without Excel! And ChatGPT come to mention it!”
Partnering with Grosvenor House
Dr. Fallon first heard about Grosvenor House through Professor Cadman and the One Thousand Trades Group. TSC has since been using Grosvenor House for registered office address services and more. He shared:
“We have our phones answered, post delivered there as our office and obviously we have the rooms as needed for meetings. I’d say I’d recommend it because the team are very friendly, very professional and like to make things happen for you.”

With a mission to support businesses in the West Midlands and beyond, Dr. Fallon’s work at TSC continues to make a significant impact.
